RR14 Agowilt - Clocks Made Of Their Own Bones
Formed in California, Agowilt is a
five-piece band from Long Beach that combines elements of hardcore, black metal,
and doom to create an ominous cloud of aural devastation summoned by the hatred
of the modern human condition. Inspired by the ideals of anarcho-primitivism,
the band is dedicated to the abolition of the industrial complex and the
collapse of civilization in order to liberate humanity from the throes of
sociopolitical enslavement.
On June 25, 2013, Agowilt released
Clocks Made Of Their Own Bones on vinyl through Replenish Records.
100% of the proceeds from the digital downloads of the album will be
donated to the Anarchist Black Cross Federation at http://www.abcf.net
in order to help political prisoners and prisoners of war through direct
communication, building alliances with the communities and the movements
the prisoners participated in prior to their incarceration, and
producing information about the struggles they came from and the
movements they represent.

"Agowilt
play this dark, chaotic, primitive mixture of powerviolence-meets-sludge-meets-black
metal kind of sound and behind it lays a very diy-anarcho-nihilist
spirit. Imagine for example a crossbreed between bands like
Clinging To The Trees Of A Forest Fire, Bucket Full Of Teeth, and
Thou...on speed. Clocks Made Of Their Own Bones will be released on a
one-sided LP as one 17-minute song compromised of a noise introduction
and three parts. It kills. Check it out." Forever Cursed
"Agowilt play a great style of
music that incorporates elements of raw black metal, blackened hardcore, and
crust influences within their sound. Clocks Made Of Their Wwn Bones is the
band's debut offering and is a single seventeen minute long song with a noise
intro that is broken down into three parts. Musically, Agowilt calls to mind
the primitive black metal influenced hardcore bands such as Ancestors or Thou,
as well as more crust influenced bands such as Sundowning or Geranium. Agowilt
have crafted a killer song here. Clocks is dark, ominous, and brutal as fuck."
